Get a health boost with a 20 minute chair massage, courtesy of Mobile Tranquility who will be in the spouse hospitality suite from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. There are many benefits to chair massages, some of which include increased productivity (which is great to kick off a conference) and reduced stress. All it takes is a few minutes to leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. Sign up in advance or on-site. If you have signed up for the RMC Research & Education Walk for Wellness, one complimentary chair massage is included in your registration fee.

Spouse Activity: DC Scandals Tour

Cost: $130 per person
Transportation: Meet at the Tour Bus Entrance at 12:15 pm.
Note: Light snacks and bottled water available. This tour involves some walking. Comfortable shoes are encouraged.

This tour will walk guests through the more sordid past of our country’s leaders, from inaugurations gone awry, duels, bigamy, curses, love affairs and murder, and all of the other misadventures, misfortunes, and misbehaviors of some of the most notable names in American history. Among all the depravity, though, there will be some lighter moments such as adventuring into the hotel where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote his “I Have A Dream” speech. And by the end of the tour, guests will have seen and heard a different side of D.C., picking up on unique historical facts and scandalous anecdotes along the way.
The D.C. Scandals Tour walks guests through the heart of downtown, covering sites such as Temperance Fountain near the National Archives, strolling through the seedy past of Federal Triangle, popping into the historic Willard InterContinental Hotel, and finally ending at the White House and Lafayette Square.
